Pokchat Worasub

Pokchat Worasub is a Bangkok-based artist whose photographic practice investigates the female form, sexuality, identity, and the emotional language of the body. After completing her master's degree in Visual Arts from King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang in 2014, she developed a distinctive visual approach centered on what she describes as the "natural choreography created by emotions."

Working primarily through photography, Pokchat examines the construction of female identity and challenges conventional perceptions of the human body. Her images push against social expectations of how the body should be seen, represented, and understood within the frame. Through an intimate yet assertive visual language, her practice explores beauty, vulnerability, sensuality, and the psychological tension between private experience and public visibility.

Her work has been exhibited in Thailand and internationally, including Echopsychology at Objectifs, Singapore, 2018; Diana at TARS Gallery, Bangkok, 2021; วัดดยูฟิ้ง (whatdoyouthink) at Weave Artisan Society, 2021; and POPIA at TARS Gallery. Her works have also been shown in galleries in Tokyo and Singapore. In 2020, she was nominated to represent Thailand for the Leica Oskar Barnack Award. In 2024, her work was featured in Jakkai Siributr's exhibition Everybody Wanna Be Happy at CHAT, Hong Kong, and she participated in the 2024 Bangkok Art Biennale.

In 2026, Pokchat Worasub will present a solo exhibition at TARS Unlimited, Bangkok, marking a significant continuation of her long-standing engagement with photography, the female body, and the politics of representation in contemporary Thai art.
